Of this amount L 7,500 is appropriated to dividend at the rate of 10 per cent., L 2,600 is added to the reserve fund, and L 8,771 8s carried forward. The retiring directors were reelected. The Chairman of Directors stated it had been deemed inadvisable at present to open a branch office in London, but that one had been opened in San Francisco. The directors were at present considering the question of increasing the paid-up capital of the Company, and if decided upon, ample notice would be given to shareholders. The Fatal Fire in Dunedin. Dunedin, To-day. It has transpired that Captain Kitchener’s furniture was insured in tho South British Oilice for Ll5O.
