Majority for the Government. Hobart, Yesterday. Elections to the Legislative Assembly have resulted in the return of twenty-three Ministerialists and eight Opposition members, and one doubtful.

In Session. Adelaide, Yesterday. The South Australian Parliament was opened by his Excellency the Governor, who, in a speech on the occasion, announced that a Bill would shortly be introduced to authorise the remitting of one-third of the year’s interest due by selectors, owing to failure of wheat crop during the past season. Nothing further of importance was mentioned in the speech.
