[PKR PRESS ASSOCIATION.] The New Zealand Shipping Company. Christchurch, To-day. At a special meeting of the shareholders of tlie New Zealand Shipping Company, hold at noon to-day, it was resolved, after a long discussion, by 21 votes to 5, to increase the capital of the company from L 250,000 to LI ,000,000. Mr J. S. Peacock, recently one of the directors of the company, was the principal opponent of the proposal.
