[PKR KBMTEII’.S AGENCY.] A Pioneer. Melbourne, To-day. Arrived —-Steamship Aberdeen, 2,371 tons, from London. She is the pioneer of George Thompson and Co.’s new line, A Country’s Gratification. Sir Bryan O’Loghlin has received a telegram from Mr Gladstone, expressing the gratification of the country at the colony’s sympathy in regard to the assassination of Lord Cavendish. To he Divided To-morrow. Tire division on Mr Berry’s vote of want of confidence in the Ministry will take place to morrow. Steamers in a GaleMelbourne, Saturday. The s.s. Te Anau, which arrived last night from the Bluff, encountered a most furious gale, which lasted the whole of Sunday and Monday last. The seas were very rough, and most dangerous, but the vessel behaved admirably. Tire passengers, on their arrival, presented an address and purse of sovereigns to Captain Carey, Mr Russell (first male), and Mr Macwig (chief engineer). The s.s. Tamar arrived here yesterday from Hobart, after a passage of eleven days, during which she encountered a most terrific gale.
