The passenger supposed to bo suffering from a mild form of smallpox has quite recovered.The Dunedin Totalisator Case. Dunedin, To-day. Pirie, hairdresser, was fined L 5 on each of the two informations charging him with keeping a totalisator open in connection with the Southland race meeting. The instrument was used in defendant's shop. Notice of appeal was givjen. Drowned all. Sea. Arrived—The Harbojf Board’s hopper dredger, 126 days, ifrom Greenock. Brown, the first engineer, was drowned on Jan. 14.
