THE WESLEYAN CONFERENCE.
The following additional business was transacted at the Conference yesterday afternoon, too late for insertion in bur last issue : It was resolved that married ministers be appointed to the Waiuku and Pdkekolie, and Balclutha circuits, and that Gisborne, Mornington, and Tapanui be relieved from their obligations for one year. Applications for additional ministers were received and granted in the following cases ;—Auckland, one to reside at Mount Albert, North Shore, Mahurangi, Coromandel, Te Awamutu, Raglan (Native minister), Hokihanga (Native), Patea, Christchurch, Woolston, l.nd Dunedin (Trinity Church). It was? also agreed to appoint home missioiiaries to the following stations, viz. jOpunake, Havelock, and Malvern. i The| following statistical return was read by the Secretary :—Ministers, 84 ; colleges, 1 ; members, 4,346; on trial, 717; catechumens, 6105 communicants,: t,x6i ; deaths, 2; Sunday Schools, 164; scholars, 13,9225 adherents, 38,256. The figures refer to the European population only.
