[per press association.] The Weather. Thames, To-day. Heavy rain continued the greater part of last night from 10 yesterday morning. At full tide last evening all the lower portions of the town were under water. This morning there is over three feet of water in the principal streets, doing considerable damage to business places. Burglary at Wellington. Wellington, To-day. A burglary was committed in town last night, at the store of Captain Williams, coal merchant, which was broken into. An entrance was effected through one of the front windows. The’ office ’ was ransacked, but no valuables wete found.

The police are investigating the matter, but as yet have obtained no mine to the burglars. Exportation of Longbeach Sheep. Christchurch, To-day. During the past ten days, 180 stud sheep have been exported from the Longbeach station flock to Napier, Auckland, Wellington, and Sydney. Damp. Timaru, To-day. The weather is wet.
