[per press association.] The Governor’s Return. Wellington, To-day. His Excellency the Governor has returned from his visit through the Wairarapa district. Don’t Like It. Christchurch, To-day. A number of residents in the vicinity of Cramner Square are signing a petition against the International Exhibition being held in that locality. The time for receiving entries for the Exhibition is extended to February 10th. Otago v. Canterbury. Dunedin, To-day. The following players have been selected for practice for the Otago v. Canterbury match Spring, Crawshaw, Collinson, Haskell, Cooke, Wyincks, Cargill, Clark, Rose, Rattray, Dixon, Davenport, W. Frith, C. Frith, Mitchell, Austin, and Harris.
