ARRIVAL OF THE SAN FRANCISCO MAIL.
[by telegraph.] Auckland, To-day. The s.s. Zealandia was signalled at noon to-day, and some sensation was caused when it was noticed that she was flying the yellow flag, the signal of sickness on board. There will be a considerable delay about getting the mails ashore, as no communication will be allowed until Dr Philson, the Health Officer, has been off to the vessel. Nothing is known at present as to the nature of the sickness aboard the, steamer. Later: ; The mail steamer has gone down to' the Quarantine Island. The health officer and post master followed. It is not yet known what disease is aboard. ,
