LATE EUROPEAN NEWS.

London, Dec. 13. In opposition to the evidence tendered by the prosecution, from experts who had examined Guiteau, the assassin of the late President Garfield, and who declared him to be sane, counsel for the defence has brought forward experts who testify that Guiteau is suffering from delusions, and is not altogether accountable for hia actions. Outrageous scenes occurred in Court during the time that this evidence was being taken, owing to the excitement among the spectators. Nothing has been heard of the balloon which drifted across the English Channel on Saturday last. Grave fears are now entertained for the safety of Mr Walter Powell, the member for Malmesbury, and the other occupants of the car. London, Dec. 14. Mr Labouchere, M.P. for Northampton, has informed his constituents that he has received from the Premier, Mr Gladstone, a promise that the Government will give their support, in the ensuing session of Parliament, to some means whereby his colleague, Mr Bradlaugh, may be allowed to take his seat in the House of Commons. Some sensation has been caused in London by the mysterious disappearance of Viscount Boyle, the eldest son of the Earl of Shannon. He is a young man, twenty-ore years of age. He has been missing for several days, and his family can find no trace of his movements. Foul play is feared.
