Telegrams have been received from Hong Kong reporting the wreck of the iron ship Bolton Abbey, 1,150 tone, of Liverpool, while on her voyage froth Newcastle to Manilla. The captain and all the crew except three yrere saved, and have reached Hong Kohg. Money and the Markets. Consols have advanced to iobj£. New Zealand securities at the following quotations;—Five per Cent 16.40 Loan, 104 ; Five per Cent. 1889 Loan, 104; Four and a half per Cent 18791904 Loan, Adelaide wheat, ex store, remains at 565; New Zealand do, at 52s 6d ; Adelaide flour, ex store, 42s ; Australian tallow, best beef, 395, best mutton, 41s 6d. The Wool SalesAt the wool sale to-day, 10,500 bales were offered, making a total of 48,000 catalogued since the opening. More inquiry was experienced, but the- demand was principally speculative. Probably. Parliament is expected to be summoned for the despatch of business on January 19th next. Strung Up. Lefroy, the Brighton murderer, was hanged to-day at Newgate gaol. Recovered. The Emperor William, who has for some time past been severely indisposed, has so far recovered that he is now able to take carriage exercise.
