[PER. PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Attempted' Suicide. Auckland, To-day. A woman named Morey attempted suicide to-day, by throwing herself into the harbor from the reclamation ground. She wan speedily rescued. She stated her husband had left by the Hero with another woman. Thanks and Confidence. Hamilton, To-day. Mr Whitaker addressed meetings at Pukukura, Pukuirini, and Cambridge West, and received votes of thanks and confidence. Divorce. Wellington, To-day. At the Divorce Court to-day, in the case Barley v. Barley (Dunedin) a decree absolute was granted. In Campbell v. Campbell (Christchurch) a decree absolute was also granted ; and a decree absolute was granted in Hedley v. Hedley and in Hill v. Hill (of Wellington). Timaru Items. Timaru, To-day. Mr J. H. Sutter was re-elected Mayor to-day without opposition. Shearing is in full swing in the district. Wool is coming into town rapidly. It is expected that the Dunedin steamer will discharge into the railway trucks on the wharf to-morrow. The laying of the rails on the wharf is not completed, but the wharf can already be used.
