ELECTORAL.
To the Editor. Sir, —I have just read (1 must say with regret) the charge of Bishop Redwood in the Tablet re the Catholic vote, in which he plainly directs his followers as to whom they should vote for at the coming election. As he has now thrown down the gauntlet, by connecting religion with politics (and which I hvae no doubt will be strictly observed by his flock) it is high time that non Catholics of all denominations should open their eyes and endeavor to frustrate such a wiley and arbitary mandate from the head of any Church. After reading letter re Socubors, &c., the protestant who will vote for a Catholic candidate must know that his interest will suffer when opposed to the wishes of Bishop Redwood. —lam, &c., Wakanui Elector.
