A telegram from Auckland states that Ross won the International Sculling 'Match at the Regatta, Gandoe and Hosmer following, Trickett, who seemed com-
pletely rowed out, sixth. Time —Twenty- * seven minutes. At the Regatta, at which , over 12,000 persons were present, Hanlan, the champion, who acted as umpire, was accorded a tremendous ovation. He was presented with a gold watch and chain in honor of hia recent victories^
