MOUNT SOMERS ROAD BOARD.
A‘- special meeting of this Board • was held at the Road Board office, Mount Somers, on Monday last. Present — Messrs A. E. Peache (Chairman), I. E. Taylor, D. Cameron, and P. Tisoh. The Chairman stated that the t meeting was called for the purpose of arranging a settlement of accounts with the Bangitata Road Board. > A letter was read, from the Bangitata Road Board, declining the Board’s proto a,settlement of accounts, i Ther^Clerk‘was directed to reply that the Mount Somers Road Board have care-" fully re-considered their proposal to the Bangitata Road Board and they see no reason for departing from it; and as the Bangitata Board baye made no proposal on their own behalf, this Board fail to see what more they c4n do in the matter. Mr Tisch proposed, Mr Taylor seconded, and it was carried, that the meeting bo adjourned until July the 4th.,
