The Hon Graham Berry received a telegram to-day from Earl Kimberley, Secretary of State for the Colonies, stating that a police officer had been despatched by the mail steamer to bring Henderson, the reputed_ owner of the steamer Ferret, alias India, and those of the officers and crew now under arrest, to Scotland, where they will be placed on their trial. Quarantine. A proclamation has been issued by the Government to-day, notifying that Chinese ports are infected places, and that all vessels coming therefrom will be placed in quarantine. The proclamation farther states that on account, of the existence of small-pox in Sydney all persons arriving from that city will be examined by the health officers before they are permitted to enter the colony. The Royal Princes. ~,. Their Royal Highnesses Princes Albert Victor and George of Wales are expected to arrive here from Adelaide on Saturday next, 25th inst The public entry will not, however, take place until the following Monday. Afloat Again. Melbourne, To-day. > The repairs to the Orient steamship Sorata have been completed, and she is now afloat again. Victorian Politics. It has transpired that Colonel Parey (? Sir John O’Shanassy) in the Legislative Assembly, will not, support the vote of want of confidence in the Mihittty, which is to be proposed by Sir Bryan O’Loughlin to-day. It is hot yet known what action the Opposition members will take on the ; motion. It is believed in some quarters that they have not upon a course of action. :
