Cambell, solicitor, against the editor of the Star for allowing a paragraph to be inserted calculated to cause a breach of the peace, and asking to have the editor bound over. Tea. Wellington, To-day. A cable message received here states that the steamer Bowen left Foo Chcnv for Wellington on the 16th inst. She brings a cargo of first season tea. The Wellington Unemployed. At an open air meeting of the unemployed this morning, it was decided to petition the Minister of Public WorKs for ■work. The Mails. The P.M.S.S. City of Sydney, with the London mails of the 19th ultimo, left San Francisco for Auckland on Saturday, the 4th instant, time table date. She should reach Auckland on Sunday, the 26th instant. The Southern mails will bo brought on to Wellington direct from Onehunga. The Australia, with the May colonial mails, arrived at San Francisco on the 15th, two days in advance of contract date. Remanded and Committed. Dunedin, To-day. At the City Police Court this morning, John Anderson, alias Hunter, and Edward Hughes, alias Edwards, for the Christchurch jewellery robbery, were further remanded. John Connell, for receiving the stolen goods, was committed for trial.
