[per reuter’s agency.] The Reform Question. Melbourne, Juno 15. In the Legislative Assembly to-day the debate on Sir Bryan O’Loghlin’s motion that the Reform Bill should be again referred to a committee of the two Houses was resumed. In the course of the afternoon and evening several speakers addressed the House in favor of the motion. The debate continues, 10.30 p.m. Melbourne, To-day. In the Legislative Assembly last night, Mr Ramsay, on behalf of the Opposition, announced that the Legislative Council was prepared to reduce the candidate qualification to be provided by the Reform Bill to LIOO and to withdraw its demand for two Ministers in the Council. It was also •willing that elections should take place in one day, in order to prevent plural voting. Mr Ramsay, in his speecli following this intimation, strongly urged Government to agree to another Joint Conference of Committees of the two Houses, to agree, if possible, to a compromise in regard to the Bill. Finally, Mr Berry stated his acceptance of the proposal, despite protests by several of his supporters and members of the Corner Party. It is expected that a favorable result will be arrived at by the Conference.
