UPPER ASHBURTON ROAD BOARD
Election of. Members.
A similar election in regard to the Upper Ashburton Road Board district took place yesterday, at the Road Board office.
MrD. Pullar acted as Beturning Officer, and to him were handed the following nominations, viz—Messrs D. M'Lean, D. Williamson, I. Sargeant, M. Stitt, Harper, and Carter. A poll, being demanded, was held during the day, and closed at 4p. m., with the results a beneath :
The five first-mentioned candidates were declared duly elected; and having returned thanks to the electors, a vote of thanks to the Returning Officer brought the proceedings to a close.
