WAIMATE STEEPLECHASES. The Waimate Steeplechases took place yesterday, on Mr Studholme’s estate, and passed off very successfully. There was a fair attendance, and the racing was good. The following are the'results Waimate Steeplechase Handicap, a sweepstake of 3 sovs, with 100 sovs added; 3 miles. —Mr P. Butler’s Agent, 12at 121 b, 1; Mr H. Schluter’s Little John, list, 2 ; Mr J. CuUing’s Naumtd, lOst, 3. Winfield, Chandler, and Ivanhoe also started. Maiden Plate, of 50 sovs.—Mr T.
