THE TUNISIAN DIFFICULTY.
♦ The Bey Deposed. France will Oppose the Sultan’s Edict. Tha Native Tribe Effectually Disposed of. Two Towns Captured. (by cable.) Constantinople, May 21. The Sultan has issued a decree deposing Bey Side Mahomed El Sadock from the regency of the Tunisian Principality. Paris, May 21. The French Government has resolved to uphold the Bey in the possesion of the Tunisian throne against the edict which has been issued by the Porte for his deposing. Despatches have been received by the Government from the Commander of the French force in Tunis, which state that the opposition by the native tribes to the advance of the French troops has been entirely overcome, the Arabs having been everywhere repulsed. Beja and Matera have been captured and occupied.
