[per press association.] Smothered. Hawera, To-day. A young man named John Ferry, brother of the landlord of the Occidental Hotel, Wanganui, got smothered last night. He camped near an embankment, portion of which fell and smothered deceased, who was lying in a tent at the time. An inquest will be held.
