[per rbdter’s agency.] The Australian Mutual. Sydney, April 20. 'rite report of the Australian Mutual Provident Society for the past year has been issued. It shows that 9,623 proposals for life assurance were submitted during the year, 6,551 being accepted, assuring L 2,181,258. New premiums amount to L 74,666. Claims have arisen on 261 policies, amounting to Liii,4l3. The accumulated funds of the Society now amount to L 3,379,510, being an increase of compared whh the previous year. John Chinaman. Sydney, To-day. Two hundred Chinese arrived here yesterday by the steamer Crusader, from Hong Kong.
