A conference of tenant righters ha£ passed a resolution approving of the provisions of the Irish Land Bill which has been introduced into Parliament. Obituary. The death of the Rev. William Morley Punshon, the prominent Wesleyan minister, aged 57, was announced to-day.
The Frontier Squabble. Athens, AprilJs.’ The Greek Government has intimated to the Powers its acceptance of the Porte’s proposal for the extension of the Greek frontier upon condition that a peaceful surrender of the territory to he ceded by Turkey is guaranteed. The Government at the same time appeals to the Powers to protect the Greeks who remain under Ottoman rule in Epirus and other Turkish districts bordering upon Greece. The Basuto War. Capetown, April 13. News has been received from Basutoland that an offer of mediation has been made by Sir Hercules Robinson to the: Basutos, with a view aff bringing abput a cessation of hostilities with the Cape forces, and the Basuto chiefs have accepted the mediation of his Excellency.
