[per press association.] Supreme Court Oases. Dunedin, To-day. Thomas Fisher, for indecent assault, got nine months. The Judge refused Mr Stout’s application in Card’s case for an appeal, and the Court sentenced prisoner to 12 months’ imprisonment. Charles Fowler, convicted of stealing from a dwelling, got four years. Fire. The shop of Mr A. Lawson, Kaikoiai has been burned down. It was insured in the National Insurance Company office for Ll7O. Supposed to be Drowned. Nelson, To-day. A telegram from Collingwood reports that it is supposed that two men, named Robert Bisgrove and Yankee Smith, were drowned in Salisbury creek on the sth inst. The constable is out searching for the bodies. Another Suspicious Fire in Timaru. Timaru, To-day. Two large stacks of oats, the property of Mr Richard Harnbrook, residing at the Orari, were burnt down last night, under very suspicious circumstances. The police arc making enquiries.
