(Per Press Association.) More Gold Reefs. Grahamstown, To-day. Hone Wereahiko, the To Aroha prospector, informs the Star that he has discovered a new reef at Omahu, To Aroha. It is seventeen feet thick, has been traced for a quarter of a mile, and shows good gold. Hone believes it will eclipse anything yet found in the vicinity. Hone Wereahiko has received a pressing letter from Te Ngakaro to attend the Kingite meeting to open on the 26th instant, with a view to hearing his proposal regarding the prospecting of the King country and Tuhua, where Moffatt is reported to have got gold. Affairs generally, are assuming a more hopeful aspect at Te Aroha. Failed at Last. Wellington, To-day. The committee appointed to float the now morning paper company have decided to abandon the project. Several names were placed on the list of the committee without any authority. The Relief of the “Boycotted.” Dunedin, To-day. A meeting of Orangemen was held last night, at which L7B was subscribed for the assistance of persons ‘ 1 Boycotted ” in Ireland. Magisterial. On Monday Mr Simpson relieves Mr Watt of the City and Port Chalmers Courts.
