Rich specimens have been obtained from some ot the mines in the Tiki district, Coromandel goldfields, which are likely to cause a rush to that district. The police received a telegram last night stating that the stabling of the Marquis of Normanby Hotel, Carterton, was destroyed by fire on Saturday night, and that an attempt had been made to fire the hotel.
