(Ptr Reuter's Agency.) The Reserve of Wealth. London, Feb. 3. The total reserve of notes and bullion in the Bank of England is L 14,125,000. The Wool Sales. The next series of wool sales opens on the 15th inst The arrivals to date for the auction amount to 190,000 bales, the total probable quantity to be offered amounting to 300,000 bales. Arrested for SeditionMichal Davitt, who recently returned from America, where he had established branches of the Land League, has been arrested in Ireland for sedition. Mr. Parnell Issues a Manifesto. Mr. Parnell has issued a manifesto, in which he urges bis followers to act with calmness, and promises to renew the fight against the Coercion Bill in Parliament. Wheat and Tallow. The total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 2,490,000 quarters. Australian tallow —best beef, 345. 6d ; best mutton, 395. Our Securities. Four and a Half per Cent New Zealand Loan is quoted to-day at ex dividend. The Ashantees. The Daily News publishes, a tele gram stating that the Ashantees threaten to make war against the settlers and natives in the British colony of Sierra Leone, on the west coast of Africa. Telegrams further state that in consequence of the attitude of the Ashantees, detachments of the xst West India Regiment, stationed at Freetown, have been ordered to proceed to Bonder to oppose any attack. Sent Back to the Hulks. London, Feb. 5. It has been decided by the authorities that Michael Davitt, the League agitator, who was arrested yesterday, shall complete the term of penal servitude to which he was sentenced some time ago.
