The following further Exhibition awards are published :—Second prizes —Chamber of Commerce, Oamaru, for photographs of Oamaru; N. K. Cherill, Christchurch; Clifford and Morris, Dunedin; and J. J. Taylor, Motueka, Nelson, for photographs. Third prizes—J. Bragge, of Wellington; W, B. Gibbs, Wellington; and Burton, of Dunedin, for photographs. First prize—C. A. Palmer, Waimea West, Nelson, for hops. Second prizes—W. Cudden, Christchurch, for malt; Thos. Harley, Nelson, for hops and malt; S. Manning and Company, Christchurch, for malt and barley; Ward and Company, Christchurch, for malt. Third prizes—W. Cudden, Christchurch, for malt; P. Cunningham and Company, Christchurch, for malt. Railway Extension.

The railway between Geogery and Albany, New South Wales, was opened to-day, and communication between Sydney and Melbourne is now completed. The opening ceremony was performed by the Hon. John Lackey, the New South Wales Minister for Public Works, who formally declared the line open, and delivered a congratulatory address, in the course of which he expatiated upon the benefits to be derived by the completion of communication between Melbourne and Sydney. The Hon. Graham Berry, Hon. J. B. Patterson, Sir Henry Parkes, and Sir Patrick Jennings were present, together with an assemblage of fully 2,000 persons. The whole proceedings passed off vith great eclat, and were followed by a luncheon. A grand ball and supper to-night will conclude the festivities. Murder Will Oat. Sydney, Feb. 3. Two men have been arrested at Ennabalong, charged with the murder of James Omak in 1876.
