(Pet Reuter's Agency.) . Preliminary. Sydney, To-day. The first sitting of the adjourned Intercolonial Conference was held here yesterday. Representatives of all the colonies, except New Zealand,., were present. The business transacted was purely of a preliminary character, the programme of the proceedings of the Conference beihg alone dealt with. Leichardt’s Telescppe.; Mr. Skudthorpcfurthertelegraphs that he has in his possession the telescope which, was presented by the Governor on behalf of the colonists to Leichardt, the explorer.
