{Per Reuter's Agency.) Making Progress. Melbourne, Dec. 1. The conference now sitting is making satisfactory progress with regard to the Border duties and the Chinese question. The Six Days’ Walking Tournament. Melbourne, To-day. In the six days’ walking tournament, which commenced on Monday, Baker, Seymore, and Swan (of New Zealand), had each done 15G miles up to midnight last night. Six competitors now remain. No Jurisdiction. Adelaide, To-day. The Court of Inquiry into the stranding of the Sorata, which has been sitting for some days, has now decided that it has no jurisdiction in the matter.
