The crews of 'some other vessels , recovered the guns, blankets, knives, &c., from the abandoned houses. They burned the huts and destroyed the cocoa-nut trees so that the murderous tribes will be at the mercy of the Hill men. The party also destroyed a town on the mainland. One boat, with two men, is still missing.
