(Per Press Asoociatiou.) Refused. Auckland, To-day. Young Woollcott, who was dangerously wounded by Joe, the condemned murderer, but is now out of danger, proceeded to Fiji with his family yesterday. The gaoler refused to allow the Woollcott family, in whose employment he was, to visit him. Movements of their Honors. A cable message states that Judge Gillies arrived at Adelaide in the s.s. Surat yesterday. Judge Richmond left for Wanganui, in the s.s. Taiaroa, to attend the Appeal Court at Wellington. A Hitch. lie Grant and Foster's settlement at Te Aroha, the Hon. W ; Rolleston insists that at least one-half of: the settlers be placed on the land by the Ist of January, 1882. Their agent consents to this, but objects to the further condition, that L 4,400 of the purchase money must be paid immediately on the agreement being signed, and the final ratification of the purchase is thereby jeopardised. Privileges. The privileges at the Agricultural and Pastoral Society’s Show realised L 174.
