Knighted. London, Oct. 27. The Gazette to-day announced that Mr. P. A Jennings, Executive Commissioner of the Sydney Exhibition, has been created a Knight Commander, and that Mr. Davies, a prominent member of the Sydney Commission, has been created a Companion of the Order of St. Michael and St. George. Parnell’s Secretary Arrested. Mr. Parnell’s private secretary has been arrested under warrant charged with conspiracy. Mail Extension. Paris, Oct. 27. The French Government has opened negotiations with a view to arrange for an extension of the mail service between Bourbon and the Mauritius and Australia. New Greek Ministry. Athens, Oct. 20. A new Greek Ministry has been formed, under the presidency of Comoudourous. A Dictator. Athens, Oct. 27. Comoudourous, the newly-appointed Greek Premier, will, it is announced, act without colleagues, and, as President of the Council, will be the solo responsible Minister of the king. For Peace. Vienna, Oct. 2G. The Emperor of Austria is making strenuous efforts to maintain peace in the south-east of Europe, and is causing reductions to be made in the Austrian army now in the occupation of Bosnia. Austria and Servia. Vienna, Oct. 27. A difficulty has arisen between Austria and Servia in regard to the commercial relations of the two countries. More Trouble at DulcignoConstantinople, Oct. 27. Dervish Pasha, with three batattalions of Turkish troops, has been ordered to proceed to Dulcigno in consequence of the continued determination of the Albanians to obstruct its surrender to Montenegro. Abdul Rahman Murdered. Calcutta, Oct. 2G. A report has been received that the city of Cabul is in a state of anarchy, and that the Ameer, Abdul Rahman, has been murdered.
