The Cricket Match.
The match between Ashburton and' Mount Somers, played on Saturday concluded in favor of the Home team. We give the scores below. The play was not in any way extraordinary, and perhaps considering the limited opportunities for practice possessed by the Mount Somers Club, they deserve the greater credit of the two teams for the show they made. Most of the players are familiar to those who take an interest in cricket in this district, and need not now be individually noticed, but we cannot refrain from complimenting Duncan, the new Ashburton bowler on his Saturday’s work, and his club on securing his aid.
