THE BOROUGH WATER SUPPLY.

As a proof of our predictions as to the certainty of the water reaching town in time for the completion of the channel, we are glad to announce the fact that the water was only turned on at the intake on Tuesday at 3 p m., and by the same hour yesterday had reached the out-take in West street, and had risen some two feet there. No doubt the pea-souppy nature of the water running last Saturday has had a deal to do with silting up the channel. We have now much pleasure in requesting the unbelievers to visit the boulder-bank, and see the water for themselves. We understand the ceremony of christening the concrete water channels will take place this week.
