[By Telegraph.] Dunedin, June 21. The Vinegar Hill, Dunstan Creek district, is looking well. Mills and Co. commenced washing-up last week. Three buckets of stuff from Uie head of tail-race, before the paddock was cleaned down, yielded 220 ounces. The company expect to get, on the whole, 700 ounces this washing. Holversen’s claim, at Hyde, continues to give good yields. Invercargill, June 21. Parties working on alluvial ground some thirty miles up the Waiau river lately came to Riverton to sell gold and get miners’ rights. They have set out working on an area sufficient for 500 men.
