THE MAYORALTY.
To the Editor.’ Sir, —As an observer of our highly gifted Municipal Council and its doings in: general, I have come to the conclusion, (and I flatter myself I am not singular in. my opinion) that instead of electing; another Mayor we should show our wisdom by allowing the Municipal power to retire on their laurels for a period of at; least ten years, whilst we place our affairs under the surer and less costly’ guidance of the Wakanui Road Board, at the end of which time our Municipal Council might rise again with eclat, audit* a hotter financial position. Utility before Pride
