Original Correspondence.
To the Editor of the Auckland Chronicle . Sir, — l shtl! be obliged by your allowing me to do an act of justice. Some time ago, through ibe medium of your paper, I complained of the miscarriage of several of mv letters to England. Ihree Of those letters have been returned to me by the last mail from the dead letter Office, in London, and therefore a sense of equity compels me to absolve ibe Post Office here and Mr. Didsbury in particular, from blame regarding them. It *eems that the ri<;Ut road to favour with the present ministry is, to throw discredit on the Post Office reform effected by the Whigs. Circomstancesof a startling and disgraceful uature were discovered in January last, and were to be brough before Parliament to the confusion of the rogues both high and L-w in the General Post Office. 1 am Sir Your Obedient Servant, ROBERT JVOYLY July 14 th, !&44„
