THE DEATH OF MR. FOSTER.
It is our painful duty to record the death of the illustrious J»ln» Foster, of Stapleton, near Bristol, which took {»&<!« in October last. Phis igreat man is uuiTersatly known, and justly admired throughout the literary world. His work on Popular Ignorance, and Essay on Decision of Character, have immortalized his name. We are sorry our space will not admit of making lengthened extracts from the accounts of his death in Vue English papers. Mr. Foster was a relative of Mr. G. Skey, of Auckland, and personally known to ns.
