It is suggested that the White Swan should be detained at Ahuriri for a few days, if the Wongawonga is not there for the purpose of affording sufficient time for the Native Secretary to collect and take on to Wellington the chiefs of that District who may be invited to the Meeting. The White Swan should also call at Castle point for the Chief Potangaroa, and at Flat point for Wereta Kawe Kairangi. The Wairarapa chief may be communicated with from Wellington, and proceed thither by land.
