I am very sorry that I cannot meet you there. But till noon on Tuesday next, my Magisterial work will not let me move from this. My R.M. work is a bore; and I shall not be satisfied till I am relieved of it. I cannot be away for any length of time. Tuesday is the day for a full meeting of Justices for the District. Ngaiterangi are a little quarrel-some, and require some one close at hand to pour oil on the troubled waters. Hopkins is not back yet; but will be here next Wednesday or Thursday.
