DANCE IN NEW CALEDONIA
A dance was held last night at. 11. Meestruccis. This was a very enjoyable function, a pleasing feature of which was a number of WAaC visitors from a neighbouring Waacery. ■ As a spectacle it was truly magnificent, and by 8 pm the floor was a blaze of colour. The increased number of female personnel gave the whole function less of the “One hundred Men and a Girl” atmosphere which characterised the last function, which was held when our last issue was going to ■’ •press. ' The spectacle at the last * dance of Sergeant-Major Rex Fraser and Cpl Allan Hall dancing together was touching, and reminded us of the old song ” Dancing with my ~ Shadow. “
Hats off' to the social cummitted and our thanks to M. and Mme Macstrueci fur their kindness to us- Congratulations arc also due to Les Scott for snappy escort and convoy duty.', WAACO J
