In arranging the, sports programme, everything has been done to' encourage- every individual to participate,and at the same time develop a spirit of-inter-Company and inter-gboup competition. Company Commanders arc urged to assist the Sports Committee in its programme by encouraging every member to participate® So far as it is possible each ’Company will run its oom-competitions,with ..the assistance, if'required, of the Committee® The - champion team or individual of each- Company or GroupvriJ.l be "its • representative in the Ship's final and the winner declared the Ship’s Champion. The events under section 1 will be group events, and. those under section 11 Company events. Each bout to be of 3 two min. rounds duration. In event of judges disagreeing referee to give straight out decision in favour of one man. Spells 1 min® Bell Gong & stop ’watches to be arranged. All bouts to be run by Units themselves under the supervision of the above officials. The Committee will arrange for the weighing of each mon after which the matching of contestants vail be made by the Committee® .The finalist of each Unit in their respective weights will be matched for the Ship’s Championship. Any contestant not available & ready at call is disqualified® Rotation and order of bouts will be conveyed to Units concerned. DECK QUOITS . : Rules arc available from a representative of the Sports C/ee®who will be present at all contests. Two players -.all constitute a team and will play 10 heads, 5 from each end, The team, scoring highest points shall be the winner. PEG- QUOITS Each individual player .will throw 24 quoits each from a distance of 9 ft from the peg, the player making the highest score being the winner. Coys will arrange their own competitions,and their reps must be ready for finals on Wednesday Sept 11 at 1200 hrs. TRACK EVENTS As per A A rules, within the limits of the Ship. POTATO RACE 18 yds® 5 p/os, Ist p/o @ 10 yds, each succeeding p/o @ 2 yds. Bucket behind starting line® After placing the sth p/o in bucket, competitor to run 18 yds to finishing tape. TUNNEL RELAY Usual rules, 20 men per team. Men must' be from 2/3 ft apart and ball must pass through the ’whole of the tunnel. In the following events Coys will select 2 competitors to represent them in the finals 220 yds, 440 yds, 880 yds, 1 mile. Obstacle race, Relay race® Entries must be in the hands of the Sec. Cabin 130 by 2000 hrs Monday 9th September. Saturdays (all day) Wed® & Sun® afternoons arc available as sports days® Space will be alloted for these days end the contests proceeded with® 'The allocation of space will be fixed from time to time. Orderly rooms will be notified of the space allotted. Entries for wrestling & boxing must be in the hands of Padre Henley* cabin 123 by 2000 hrs Fed. Sept. 11th. Entry will show ,name of contestant, weight stripped, Group and Conpany.
