Jordan Visits Troops in Italy and M.E.
The High Commissioner in London, Mr. W. J. Jordan, is at present visiting New Zealanders in the Mediterranean theatre.
Accompanied by Major General Kippenberger, D.s.o. he landed at Naples, and after visiting a NZ hospital he proceeded to Egypt, where, as he told a reporter. “ it was a great thrill to witness a sparkling game of Rugby, between NZ Base and an English fifteen. It was an even greater thrill to see our NZ lads win 19— 6. ” On the completion of his ME tour ot NZ units Mr. Jordan will return to Italy to visit the fighting troops in the north.
