Senior Appointments And Promotions
The following military appointments and promotions are announced in last night's Gazette: — Lieutenant-Colonel H. G. Wilding, D. 5.0.- is appointed to the Eighth Brigade Group from the.reserve of officers. Major J. F. Potter, commanding the Third Light Armoured Fighting Vehicle Regiment. Auckland . (East Coast) Mounted ' Rifles, is granted the tempory rank of lieutenant-colonel. Major AV. Murphy, New Zealand Staff Corp, is appointed commanding officer, 35th Infantry (Mixed) Battalion, and granted the temporary rank of lieuten-ant-colonel while holding this appointment.
Major J; W. Barry, New Zealand Staff Corps, is appointed commanding officer, 36th (Mixed) Infantry Battalion, and is granted ’ the temporary rank of lieu tenant-colonel while holding such appointment.
Major A. H. L. Sugden, New Zealand Staff Corps, is appointed commanding officer, 37th Infantry (Mixed) Battalion, and granted the temporary. rank of lieu tenant-colonel while holding this appointment.
Captain (temporary Major) , T. H. Pettit, commanding the Ninth Field Ambulance. relinquishes the rank of temporary major and is granted the temporary rank of lieutenant-colonel while so employed. -
Captain (temporary Major)'. D. M. Mitchel] ceases to be*posted to the Sec-ond.Field-Ambulance, and is appointed to command the Tenth Field Ambulance, with the temporary rank of lieutenantcolonel. . . Lieutenant-Colonel C. E. Hercus. New Zealand Medical Corps, is appointed officer commanding the 11th Field Ambulance (0.U.M.C.). in addition to his appointment of officer commanding the Otago University Medical Company.
