CANTEEN FOR SOLDIERS

•••' National Club Offers Hospitality , Women members of various committees of the National Party met at the National Club yesterday to arrange for a canteen for sailors, soldiers and mem hers of the air force on Saturdays and Sundays, when the club will be open for their use. Mrs. C. Weston was elected chair man of the committees responsible for arranging meals in connexion with the canteen, and Miss F. Low was elected secretary. The club'will be op. n to men of the forces every Saturday afternoon and all day on Sundays, and it is expected to become a popular rendezvous, as the comfortable lounges and the informal atmosphere help to make the club a pleasant meeting place.
