There is a lot to be said for the old time method of "Snowballing,” as surely a few will nuss the waste-paper basket. Something along these lines should he effective : “We, the Branch of the W.C.T.U. protest against the recommendation of the Licensing Commission that hotel bars be open from 8 to 10 p.m., and fed strongly that such retrograde legislation lieing enacted would he detrimental to the public welfare.
