HOME MEETING, ONEHUNGA
On October 23rd at the home of Mrs. Mountjoy, a Home Meeting was held by the Onehunga Union, when, after Devotions, recitations bv Mrs Hatton, and solos by Mrs. Brown were given. Mrs. Moore, Leader of the Kurahuna L.T.L., gave a statement on the recent Temperance Examination results, much satisfaction being expressed at the success of the members, which reflected credit on the training given. Most interesting address on her travels was given by Mrs. Hugh Kasper, special interest centred round the fact that the “Polyglot Petition,' taken round the world by Mrs. Mar) Leavitt for signatures, contained fiftysix Onehunga names. The name of Miss Emily Ball, it was felt, would certainly be among these. This lady was a faithful member of the Onehunga Union till the day of her death about fifteen years ago, at the age of (M. Mrs. Leavitt, at the time, organising in Auckland in 1885, was a guest in the home of the Ball family, and it was recalled that she told Miss Emily that God would certainly bless her for her good care of her father. This was fulfilled in every way.
