POISON
A bottle o i Whisky, advertised with la\isli adjectives carries also the line “30% Alcohol.” This means 30% rank narcotic poison! If a tin of soup carried the label, “30% poison,” would you buy it for your table? A Wine bottle, prettily shaped and alluringly coloured, bore the line 20% Alcohol.” Yes, Alcohol IS Poison. It a tin of golden syrup carried the label. “20% poison,” would you buy it for your children? A Beer l>ottle, decorated with a bright label, also has the line, b r /c Alcohol.” ALCOHOL IS A NARCOTIC I‘OISON. IT KILLS. If Milk bottles bore the warning, “Contents 6% poison,” would you buy the milk? New Zealand insists on foods free from poisons. The Government insists on labelling of other poisons with their antidotes. How long will New Zealand tolerate this evil? The Antidote for alcohol i* ABOLITION OF THE LIQUOR TRAFFIC.
